Formed in 1991, ARMA is the only body in England and Wales to focus exclusively on matters relating to block management of leasehold property. With some 170 corporate members managing around 700,000 units in an estimated 24,000 blocks of flats (at least 50% of which are lessee-owned properties), the Association's founding principal aim is working towards improving standards for lessees, freeholders and resident management companies.
All members endorse, accept and undertake to comply with the current Code of Practice relating to service charges published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and as approved by the Secretaries of State for England & Wales and the terms of Section 87 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.
